Jewell Dean Barlow, 77, of Dearborn, Mo., passed away Sept. 16, 2009 at his home.
Harlan Wayne Hobbs, 74, Gilman City, passed from this life surrounded by his loving family Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 at the Liberty, Mo., Hospital. Harlan was born April 2, 1935 to Orville Prior and Mildred Dolynn (Gibler) Hobbs in Brimson, Mo. Harlan graduated from Gilman City High School in 1952. He married Mona Lou (Harrison) Hobbs on May 2, 1953 in Harrison, Ark. To this union one daughter was born, DeLynda Kay (Hobbs) Payne.
Funeral services for Edythe Hunter were held Saturday, Sept.19, at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany, with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany.
Funeral services for George Cook Jr. were held Monday, Sept. 21, at the Pilot Grove #1 Baptist Church, Gilman City, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home of Gilman City. Burial was in Pilot Grove #1 Cemetery.

Leonard and Karen (Johnston) Hamilton were married Oct. 3, 1959, at the Lone Rock Church. The Hamiltons farmed north of Cainsville for more than 45 years.
A Jamesport man received moderate injuries in an accident involving a car and a horse drawn buggy that happened at about 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, in Daviess county.
Gallatin knocked off previously unbeaten North Platte, 21-14, last Friday night, but the victory apparently came with a high price tag.
Gallatin’s Lady Bulldogs broke a five-game losing streak Tuesday night with a 12-3 victory over Worth County, that also brought the Lady Bulldogs their first win in Grand River Conference play.
With three of the six low scores on the day, Trenton’s Lady Bulldogs captured the title in Tuesday’s Gallatin Golf Tournament held at Daviess County Country Club.
