Gallatin VFW Post 2172 will hold a dance open to the public from 7-11 p.m. on Friday, March 9, at the AV Spillman Building in Jamesport. There will be a live band — Dammit Jim & The Rednecks.

During their meeting held Friday, Feb. 24, the board of the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail heard that Turnkey is installed and all is going well; the Iris Scanner is installed and going well; and the generator is installed and working.

Mixed results topped off Gallatin’s regular season last Friday night as the girls fell to Lathrop, 46-42, despite a come-from-behind effort. The Bulldog boys had little trouble picking up their 15th win of the season, downing the Mules, 64-43.
