Two people from Trenton were hurt in an accident that happened at about 12:55 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Thomas Watt, 44, Trenton, was southbound on Hwy. 6 behind another vehicle. About a quarter of a mile west of Jamesport, he attempted to pass on the right side of the other vehicle at it initiated a right hand turn. His 1999 Mercury traveled off the right side of Hwy. 6 onto Route NN. The vehicle then traveled off the right side of Route NN and struck an embankment and came to rest on its wheels facing south of the south side Route NN.

Thomas Watt received minor injuries. An occupant in the vehicle, Jennifer Watt, 18, Trenton, received moderate injuries. They were both taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton by Grundy County Ambulance.

The vehicle was moderately damaged.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. J Clint Gilliland, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff and Jamesport First Responders.
