Stand back, guys. This week’s best predictions came from Angie Bonderer of Chillicothe. She only missed one game — the Villanova overtime win over St. John’s. Angie correctly picked MU to top Baylor at Waco and stands alone at the top of this week’s slate of Weekend Wizards: Angie Bonderer, Chillicothe; Corey Green, Jamesport; Ched Hurley, Trenton; Neal Steward, Cameron; Michael Beck, Gallatin.

Larry G. and Diane E. Herring reported a burglary at their residence in Winston on Jan. 21. Sometime between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., someone had entered their home and ransacked it. Photographs had been thrown on the floor and the glass in the frames had been shattered. A flat screen TV had been knocked off the TV stand but was undamaged. The master bedroom was ransacked and the bedding removed from the bed and thrown on the floor. Vases with flowers had been thrown on the floor. Although items were moved inside the single-wide trailer home, nothing was found to be missing.

Most farmers and ranchers in Missouri are passionate about agriculture. Their passion is increasingly flowing into new outlets as they embrace social media to talk about what they do. It’s a new meeting place—an online coffee shop—where thousands of conversations about food occur daily. Farmers and ranchers tweet, post and share information about market prices and regulations and policies that affect them, but they’re also beginning to listen and participate in conversations about what they produce: food.
I enjoy watching the Play-Offs and the Super Bowl Game. There are shouts of joy as the winning team celebrates. There are tears of frustration and sorrow as the losers hang their heads and walk off the field. Now, through the miracle of Instant Replay, both winners and losers can relive this event again and again.
