-Gallatin is to be the site for the Class B regional basketball tournament. Teams to compete here are Amity, Coffey, Eagleville, Gallatin, Gilman City, Grayson, Hamilton, Hatfield, Jameson, Jamesport, Kingston, Martinsville, Maysville, Ridgeway, Smithville and Weatherby.-H.J. (Junior) Caldwell of Coffey fireballed his team, the Fire Department Fireballs of Naval Hospital, Guam, M.I., to the hospital softball league championship.-Gallatin A and B basketball teams continue to roll right along in their best seasons in many years. Their season records so far are 11 wins and three losses.-For the first time in four years, the Gallatin girls team defeated a team in basketball, albeit by only one point over Union Star.-Coffey walloped Martinsville, 77-65, behind 34 points from Victor Nelson. He bettered his 30-point performance earlier this season against Cainsville.-Austin Story captured the 152-pound title with a 3-0 record during competition in the Brookfield Wrestling Tournament.
