The Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail Board will hold its regular meeting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, at the jail’s training trailer in Pattonsburg.

Small, non-farm businesses in 24 Missouri counties and neighboring counties, including Daviess, are now eligible to apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Learning Time Preschool presented their annual Christmas Program on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the First Christian Church in Gallatin. Thirty-one children participated in the program singing Christmas songs to a packed audience. A reception followed with cookies and punch. It was directed by their teacher, Karla Michener. The Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen voted during their Dec. 14 meeting to submit a letter to Mary and Stan Medeiros to vacate the premises of the factory building in Pattonsburg, due to failure to comply with the lease agreement.
Sophomores and juniors from 26 area high schools will have the opportunity to win all-expense paid trips this summer.

Carl Carder moved to move the sheriff’s office to the first floor in the present University Extension office and voting room and move the Extension office to the current sheriff’s office on the second floor. David Cox seconded. Cox – yes; Carder – yes; Sims – no. Motion carried.
Christmas is over and Santa was good to us. The most unusual gift we received was a copy of a two cent stamp with a train engine on it, that I had given to my granddaughter Molly, a long time ago.
