Hazel A. Kennedy Crenshaw, age 98 of Joplin, Mo., passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2011 at Spring River Christian Village.
Roberta F. Henderson, 80, of Jamesport passed away Saturday, Feb.19, 2011, at Daviess County Nursing & Rehab in Gallatin. Services were held at 11 am, Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Jamesport Baptist Church. Family visitation was from 6 – 8 pm Monday evening at the Church. Burial was in the Clear Creek Cemetery near Jamesport. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jamesport First Responders or Jamesport First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.

Gallatin’s Peter Steele unintentionally took the most difficult road to a state wrestling medal, but his will to win following an opening round loss eventually paid off with his first state medal.
Jeremy and Chelsey Cain of St. Joseph are pleased to announce the birth of their son Jarett Trey Cain. Jarett was born at 11:03 a.m. on Dec. 3, 2010. He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long.

The following cases were heard by Judge James Valbracht on Feb. 18:
Adam M. Morrell, Gallatin, plead guilty to DWI, persistent offender, and was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections, execution of sentence suspended. He was placed on five years probation, and ordered to serve 30 days shock time in the regional jail.
Morrell also plead guilty on a plea agreement to misdemeanor domestic assault, amended from a felony. Six felony charges, one of domestic assault and five of endangering welfare of a child, were dismissed in the agreement. On this charge he received a suspended imposition of sentence and two years probation. These charges stem from an incident on Dec. 14, 2009, when Morrell chased his wife, Candice Morrell, in his pickup and attempted to run her off of the road while five children were in a truck with her.
The 16th Annual Abbey Trails 5K Run/2 Mile Walk and Health Fair will take place on April 16 at 9 a.m. on the campus of Conception Abbey and Seminary College.
