Superintendent Johnnie Silkett reported during the regular meeting of the Pattonsburg R-2 Board of Education held May 21 that about $105,000 in cost-cutting measures have been enacted in next year’s budget. The savings to the school came by not replacing two staff members, one that retired and one that left the district, along with changing the school’s insurance.
