On election day, Tuesday, November 4th, voters will be asked to decide on Proposition B, an initiative called the "Quality Homecare Council". Proposition B is not what it appears to be.

2008-09 Basketball: JH Bulldogs tip off basketball on Tuesday

Gallatin’s junior high basketball squads will open their respective seasons next Tuesday at home against Princeton.

As of press time, there will not be a girls "B" game due to low numbers on the part of the Lady Tigers. The evening will start with a boys "B" game at 4:30 p.m., followed by girls "A" and boys "A" games.

Gallatin R-5 athletic director Rick Lin is searching for a "B" team girls opponent for that night and if one is found, that game will start at 4:30.

Winston FFA Goes to the Royal

On Oct. 17, the Winston FFA Chapter went to the American Royal in Kansas City to help with the many workshops that were presented to elementary students of local Kansas City schools.

Team Tan has undefeated record

Team Tan finished their season with an undefeated record of 5-0 during the 2008 flag football season. Pattonsburg’s Antique Car, Tractor and Engine Show was held Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4-5. The following are the results of the baby show’s Halloween costume contest with winners listed, followed by parents and hometown. Winners of the baby show will be in next week’s paper.
