Hey, Bearcat Fans! This Saturday, Nov. 1, the final regular season home game against Emporia State will be Senior Day. Northwest has just 13 seniors on the roster but the accomplishments of this group are monumental.
On election day, Tuesday, November 4th, voters will be asked to decide on Proposition B, an initiative called the "Quality Homecare Council". Proposition B is not what it appears to be.
So it all boils down to this. Gallatin no longer controls its own destiny in the hunt for a spot in the Class 1 state football playoffs.
Friday night’s heartbreaking, 20-18, overtime loss to Maysville, coupled with Hamilton’s 47-0 shellacking of Polo, means the Bulldogs must beat a record-setting Hornet team and hope the Panthers find a way to beat the Wolverines.

Gallatin’s junior high basketball squads will open their respective seasons next Tuesday at home against Princeton.
As of press time, there will not be a girls "B" game due to low numbers on the part of the Lady Tigers. The evening will start with a boys "B" game at 4:30 p.m., followed by girls "A" and boys "A" games.
Gallatin R-5 athletic director Rick Lin is searching for a "B" team girls opponent for that night and if one is found, that game will start at 4:30.

County Clerk
The County Clerk’s office will be open 8 a.m.- noon on Saturday for absentee balloting.
Recently the Gallatin R-5 School District purchased two automated external defibrillators, one to be placed in the elementary gym and one in the high school gym.
The Gallatin R-5 band has been working on a past director list in preparation for the band’s MMEA performance in January.
