Funeral services for Janet Manuele were held Saturday at Crossroads Assembly of God, Cameron. Burial was at Packard Cemetery, Cameron. Arrangements were by Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Memorials may be made to Mark Manuele’s College Fund.
Funeral services for Charles Pettijohn will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will be in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlie’s name are encouraged to the Harrison County Track and Trail Foundation and/or the First Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
Funeral services for Raymond Harris will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Resthaven Mortuary at Trenton. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens at Trenton. Open visitation will begin after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. The family has asked that memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimers Foundation in Mr. Harris’s memory.
At the Easter worship services Pastor Russ Hamilton gave the message, "Peace Be With You," based on Isaiah 61:10-11 and John 20:19-31. Vicki Corwin gave the children’s message for the first service and Elbert Fry gave the children’s message for the second service.
Opening scripture was from Psalms 95:1-7. God’s promise for you this week is, Our spiritual weapons are mighty to pull down strongholds. Memory verse is, II Corinthians 10:4. We had a praise report from Mona Roberts and Judy Graham’s mother Elsie.
Attendance was 35. Prayer concerns this week are for the Holly Scott, Larry Pittsenbarger, Wallace Brushwood, Marie Hout, Walter Ramsey, Dusty Myers, Sue Pittsenbarger, Patty Akers, Rosie Throgmartin, Randy Frazier, the Roller family, Wilma Dean, the Ricky Morris family.
Bro. Nathan Kottwitz’s morning message was "Promise of the Spirit," from John 14:16-18, 26. Special music was "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" by the choir. Business meeting was held following morning services.
Rev. Richard Parker read Psalm 133 and Linda Houghton read John 20:19-31. Rev. Parker spoke on "One Heart and Soul." Rev. Parker gave the children’s sermon. Ruby Circle meets at Peggy Noel’s. Prayer concerns are for Nina Hunt, Susie Hamilton, Shirley Wood, Clara Macrander, Helen and Edgar Muller and Kelly Vanatta.
Rev. Nordvall’’s sermon was "The Future Resurrection," based on I Corinthians 15:42-58.
Scripture read from Proverbs 3:13-35. Dr. Ben Awbrey’s message was from Matthew 23:5.
Church at Study lesson was "The Promise of the Holy Spirit," with memory verse in John 14:16. Elder Don Johnson’s sermon was "Life Style, Yours and Mine" from Exodus 15:26.
