After a report that a felony fugitive was hiding at a Gallatin residence, officers responded to the Brian Deweese residence in Gallatin on April 20. Deweese, 40, gave false information to the officers by saying that the fugitive, Terry Overturf, a known sex offender, had left prior to the officers’ arrival. Overturf was later located under a bed, according to the probable cause statement prepared by Deputy Loreanna Parker.
