Wife of former police chief will be tried in Daviess County

A jury trial for Laieloni Kay Knouse of Chillicothe has been set for Oct. 7-8 in Daviess County in a change of venue from Livingston County. Knouse is the wife of former Chillicothe Police Chief Richard Knouse. The case will be tried before Judge James Funk.

Laieloni Knouse has been charged with felony stealing of $750 or more and misdemeanor stealing with a value of less than $150 and no prior stealing offense.

Knouse and her nephew are accused of taking items from Wal-Mart without paying for them on multiple occasions while they were employed to set up demo displays. Her nephew, Kyle Jettelson, is set for jury trial Aug. 18 in Livingston County.
