Skylar Hunt Sowder, 35, Kansas City, was arrested in Daviess County by the Highway Patrol on April 16 and taken to the Daviess DeKalb County Regional Jail on a 24-hour hold.

He was stopped at 9:54 p.m. on northbound I-35 clocked at 87 mph in a 70 mph zone. Trooper K. Ebersold also observed the vehicle weaving within its lane and onto the east shoulder. Sowder gave the trooper a Missouri non-driver’s license. Following a battery of field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest. Sowder refused to consent to a chemical test of his breath.

He was charged April 17 with DWI persistent, E felony, and misdemeanors of driving while revoked, speeding and failure to drive on right half of roadway. A computer check indicated multiple active revocations and suspensions against his driving privileges.
