Passenger in speeding vehicle found with drugs

Iesha Rubio, 42, Independence, was arrested March 16 during a traffic stop for speeding on I-35 at the 82 mile marker in Daviess County. Rubio was the front seat passenger in a vehicle driven by Christopher Aderholt at 90 mph in a 70 mph zone.

According to the probable cause report, Rubio gave consent for a search of the vehicle. Rubio was the registered owner of the vehicle. During the search Sgt. J. Cross located about 4 grams of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Rubio said they were taking the methamphetamine to Aderholt’s mother in Wisconsin.

Rubio was charged with possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia; with a $10,000 bond.
