Gallatin’s Lady Bulldogs fought valiantly but came up short in a pair of GRC contests last week. The Lady Bulldogs led Polo, 12-9, early in the second quarter but the Lady Panthers gained the lead with a 5-0 run midway through the period. Gallatin trailed by just 3 points, 19-16, at the break but could not keep the pace in the second half as Polo pulled away for a 49-27 win.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to Putnam County, 39-29, on Saturday but trailed by only 2 points late in the fourth quarter after a baseline layup by Presley Wells. The Lady Midgets led, 22-15, at the break with Claire Tipton’s trio of 3-pointers making the difference for PC.
