She was born on Nov. 5, 1932, at the family home on the farm in Seward, NE, to Edward and Lydia Rocker. She grew up in Seward and graduated from Seward High School in 1950.
She and Dale were married in Seward on Jan. 27, 1952. He preceded her in death.
Carol was a schoolteacher for several years and taught in a one room school.
In 1972, they moved to Missouri where she and Dale bought several farms over the years. In 1994, she and Dale retired to Lake Trenton.
Carol was active in the Elks Ladies and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Also preceding Carol were her parents; brothers Dean and Duane Rocker; and son-in-law.
Survivors include brother Dale (Sandi) Rocker; daughter, Stephanie Jarusek; son, Mike (Joyce) Herrold of Trenton; son, Dan Herrold (Debbie Gayle) of Coffey; daughter, Valerie (Todd) Scott; son, Doug (Debbie JoAnn) Herrold; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
A private service will be held later with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Carol Herrold memorial and left with or mailed to the funeral home.
