Quick starts in each half of Tuesday’s road game against Trenton weren’t enough to bring victory to Gallatin’s girls, who took to the hardwood floor for the first time since Dec. 8.

Gallatin scored 2 quick baskets to begin each half but could not carry that momentum forward. Trenton rallied from an early 4-0 deficit to shut down Gallatin to take a 10-4 half time lead. A pair of buckets by Claire Hemry cut the gap to 10-8 but Trenton finished the second half on a 16-7 run.

The Lady Bulldogs travel to Polo on Friday and will face Putnam County at home on Saturday at 2 p.m. in a makeup game. Gallatin will face Lawson on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Lawson Tournament.
