Pattonsburg R-2 School District has had a positive COVID-19 case in its building, according to a letter posted to the community by Superintendent Bill Pottorff. Due to close contacts, the school does not have enough staff to provide all the services needed to keep the school open.

Pattonsburg will be closing Nov. 23-Dec. 7 and will resume school on Dec. 8. The school will be providing packets for its students to continue the educational process. Teachers will be in school on Nov. 23 and Nov. 24 making packets for students. Packets will be available on Nov. 30 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. for students. These assignments will be counted towards their grade.
Please email Mary Thatcher Burkhead or call her at the school on Nov. 23 or Nov. 24 to get on the lunch list. Lunches will be available for pick up for Monday, Nov. 30, Wednesday, Dec. 2, and Friday, Dec. 4, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. A McFall pick up for food and packets can be arranged upon request.
Athletics will not change since there are currently no players in quarantine.
