Want somebody else to make it?

Then give Ruthie’s Farmhouse Pies a call. She is taking orders for Thanksgiving up until Nov. 18.

“I love to cook, and I really enjoy making pies because there is so much variety,” Ruthie says. “The shop is comfortable and cozy. Come in, sit down, have a cup of coffee and a slice of pie.”

Ruthie Francom has been in business on the square in Pattonsburg for one year and one month.

She says business has been steady, but she’d love for more people to know who she is and where she’s at.

She came to Pattonsburg by way of Arizona. She moved to Missouri in 2007 to take care of her aging parents until they passed.

“I had the time and the ability, so I opened the shop,” she says.

On Taco Tuesdays, things get busy, so Karen Hughes comes in to help. Tacos are $1 each.

Ruthie also makes pizza any day of the week. You can either take the pizza home or she can bake it for you. She can also cook you up a chicken potpie.

She says she can make any pie you can think of. Cherry, apple, black raspberry, peach, pecan, gooseberry. Custard and cheesecake pies. Vegetable or ham quiche. These are fresh homemade pies like grandma uses to make. Nothing is out of a can or a box.

She says she is the home of the hand pies, chicken, beef, and fruit. Give her a call and she’ll have your order ready to pick up or you can dine in.

“Come in and try it,” she says. “It’s like going home.”

Her shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Call to order at 660-868-2821. Or visit her Facebook at Ruthie’s Farmhouse Pies or Ruth Francom.
