Parents with children of all ages, along with the elementary students at North Daviess, were invited to the event which promoted education as a family. Parents As Teachers is a national program promoting the earliest of development for the child, even before they are school age ready.

The afternoon event also featured the Jameson Fire Department in full force for Fire Safety Month. The event offered a mini-hayride, math and reading activities.

Vera Nelson, PAT coordinator, had a trunk of education which asked the children: “Witch” color is your spooky eye? The students received a treat for demonstrating color recognition.

If you have a pre-elementary age child in the North Daviess R-3 school district and would like information on the PAT program, please call 660-828-4123.
