Dr. Brian Copple reports that Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMIX) will be in place for all high school and middle school students ending Monday, Nov. 9. Elementary school students will be in AMIX until Friday, Nov. 13.
School officials work with the Daviess County Department of Health in making such determinations, including quarantine steps when necessary. “We find the health department very helpful whenever these circumstances arise,” says Dr. Copple, “and we appreciate Administrator Cheryl Alexander and her entire staff.”
A decision to cancel last Friday night’s varsity football game scheduled against Hamilton was made last Wednesday afternoon when the first positive test results were confirmed. Other school activities have also been suspended.
