Thelma Marie First, 90, Hamilton, died on Oct. 25, 2020, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Hamilton. She lived in Caldwell and Daviess Counties her entire life.

Thelma was born on July 2, 1930, in Hamilton, to Garry T. and Eva E. (Mathews) Henricks. She graduated from the Hamilton High School and was a member of the Lick Fork Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and member of the Hamilton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Evans First; sister, Ruth Helen Richardson; and three young brothers.
Survivors are daughter, Linda Kay Daniels, Hamilton; son, John Evans First, Jr., Chillicothe; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Frances Jean Bradley, McDonough, GA.
Graveside Committal will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020, at the Lick Fork Cemetery, Gallatin.
There is no formal scheduled visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals.
