Trunk or Treat will not be held this year at Winston Elementary School, but each student will be provided a small bag of treats and two fun events are planned on Friday, Oct. 30.

Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 23-31 and Winston will be celebrating the theme “Be Happy; Be Brave; Be Drug Free.” Dress up days are sponsored by the elementary student ambassadors. The class with the most participation each day will win a popcorn party.
Tuesday: Be Happy: stay in your pajamas all day (wear pjs to school); Wednesday: Be Happy: wear tie dye; Thursday: Be Brave. Wear your camo (teachers will hunt for drug information to share with students); Friday: Be Brave and ‘scare drugs away.’ Students will be allowed to wear Halloween costumes at school.
Please follow all school dress codes. No face paint, etc.
Elementary costume parade Oct. 30
Winston Elementary will begin a costume parade at 2:30 p.m. from the west end of the building along the sidewalk to the east end of the building.
All parents are asked to park in the front lot or on the street. Parents may stand in front of the cars in the parking lot and watch students as they walk by, practicing social distancing. This way, the fun can be shared, but at a safe distance.
Students will return to their classrooms and continue their fall party activities and plan for a regular dismissal.
