George Wesley “Wes” Thornton, 51, Kansas City, died on Oct. 14, 2020, at the North Kansas City Hospital. He previously lived in Gallatin and Kearney.
Wes was born on March 30, 1969, in Kansas City to George Thornton, Jr., and Judy DeVaul Thornton. He graduated from the Truman High School, in Independence in 1987.
He was a commercial painter in Kansas City and recently retired from Cass County Coatings.
Wes was preceded in death by his mother; wife, Donna; and one stepson.
Survivors include father, George Thornton, Jr., Hamilton; sister, Adrienne Thornton; fiancé, Shelly Davis; and one stepdaughter.
Funeral service was held Oct. 17, 2020, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Interment: The Kidder Cemetery. Memorials: The KC Pet Project.
