2 cans of cinnamon rolls
2-3 cans of fried apples (or apple pie filling)
1 Tbsp. flour
Cinnamon to taste
Sugar to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread out one can of cinnamon rolls flattened out for the bottom crust in a greased pie pan. Bake for 3-5 minutes. Drain fried apples and add in a tablespoon of flour. Pour in the pan and sprinkle cinnamon/sugar on top to taste. The top crust is another can of cinnamon rolls woven together (flatten and use a pizza cutter to make strips). Bake for 20 minutes covered with foil, then another 10 minutes uncovered. Drizzle icing from the cinnamon roll cans on top.
Despite some odd October weather recently, I still love how the seasons change. The squirrels are putting nuts away in the century old trees outside our house to prepare for colder weather (and we’ve paid bucko bucks to get our eaves replaced, because these squirrels want our roof to be their home and not the trees — I’m NOT a squirrel fan). God looks after squirrels, just like he looks after you and me, and that brings me comfort.
I fixed this easy recipe using apples when Benjamin came home from college. If I had to do it again, I’d sprinkle some chopped pecans before putting the crust on the top (…but it was still eaten in a day).
