The Daviess County Health Department has been made aware of a possible phone scam in our region. The caller identifies as a COVID-19 contact tracer and asks for personal information such as a social security card number. Legitimate COVID-19 case investigators and contact tracers will never ask for bank account information, credit card information, or social security card information. If you question the call, hang up and call your local health department at 660-663-2414.
