April Wollam presented a program called Court Money Service during the July 13 meeting of the Village of Winston. The program would allow customers to pay their utility bill online. There is no additional cost to the Village and the board voted to approve the program.
The oath was read to new board members Daniel Michael and Wayne Wollam, and they were sworn in.
The utilities clerk presented a new list of delinquent customers.
The above are the approved minutes for the July meeting of the Village of Winston. Trustees present were Brenda Goll, Wayne Wollam, Neal Slaughter, Tim Caldwell, and Daniel Michael. Others present were April Wollam, Cristan Filley, and Phil Clevenger.
An additional $3,000 worth of gravel was approved during Street Maintenance at the Aug. 10 meeting of the Village.
The new tax rate was passed at .4388 General and .3091 Street per $100 of assessed valuation. This is an increase from last year’s rates of .4356 for general fund and .2676 for street fund.
The utilities clerk presented a new list of delinquent customers, including nine for shut offs; and one new move in: Andrew Campbell at 102 N Richardson.
The village clerk reported that a new bank card is needed at Farmers Bank to approve signatures. A motion carried to approve all five trustees and city clerk to be on the bank card.
During new business, Neal Slaughter reported a pad lock repair that needed to be done on the main lift station and the information was forwarded to Phil Clevenger.
Next board meeting was scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 14.
