This summer, agriculture instructors from across the state met both in person and via virtual platforms to attend the annual MOACTE/MVATA Summer Conference.
Local agriculture instructors Ron Alden and Amy Holder were both recognized at this conference. Ron Alden was awarded the Missouri Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association Distinguished Service Award. This award is presented to nominees who have taught agriculture education for at least 10 years, have made professional improvements throughout their career, and have been approved by the district committee. Ron Alden has been an agriculture education instructor for 21 years.
Gallatin Agriculture Instructor Amy Holder was selected to serve as a member of the Missouri Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association Executive Committee. Mrs. Holder will serve for the next year as the Northwest District MVATA President representing agriculture instructors from 56 different agriculture programs in Northwest Missouri. This position also makes her a member of the state executive committee for the duration of her office.
