Lock Springs trustees have held two meetings so far this year, one in February and one in June. Typically, the township holds meetings every other month, but the April meeting was canceled due to concerns over COVID-19.
Trustees voted to get up to eight loads of rock for the roads throughout the village during their meeting in February. Work on roads continued to be discussed during the June meeting. Oak Street especially needed some attention as the water was running off the property just north of First Street and down the center of Oak, washing out the center of the road. The board approved cleaning out the ditches on First and Third Streets.
The Census map was reviewed during the February meeting. The map had been received in the mail. Trustees agreed that no changes to the map were needed.
In other business at the June 17 meeting, Kyle Gaunt and Luke Perkins were sworn in as trustees for two-year terms. The board was reorganized with Paul Fields as chairman and LaTisha Perkins as clerk.
