Phil Clevenger reported on sewer maintenance during the meeting of the Village of Winston held May 11. There have been multiple issues with the pump on Second Street. Even after being replaced, the pumps are not alternating back and forth like they should be. The pump on Hwy. Y does not have a disconnect; he is working on getting that taken care of. The pump on the west end of town has no concerns. The pump on Hwy. 6 is working but not alternating. Neal Slaughter, a trustee, requested that the city start keeping record of what is being spent on each pump individually. Clevenger put locks on each pump with a universal key and brought the city two keys.
In other business on the agenda, a motion carried to spend up to $3,000 on gravel for the streets.
Two bids were received for mowing the park. Andy Campbell was hired to mow no more than once a week for $40 each time. He was offered $30 a month to spray for weeds and clean up around the four pump stations.
An ordinance carried to have a street/alley closed after the proposal received a third reading. (Neal Slaughter abstained.)
The income and expense reports were approved.
A new list of delinquent customers was presented by the utilities clerk; eight shut off notices were sent out.
No report was given on ordinance enforcement.
No report was given on historical society and community events.
No report was given by the village clerk.
There were no public comments.

Trustees present were Brenda Goll, Wayne Wollam, Neal Slaughter, and Daniel Michael. Trustees absent were Nichole Gregornick and Tim Caldwell.
