The “Dragon-tale”-gate element of the summer reading program kicked off June 2.
Friday’s visits to Winston and Altamont showing the most participation, with eight meals distributed. On Tuesdays there are two locations in Gallatin. Thursday sites locations are in Jameson, Coffey, and Pattonsburg. School-aged children may meet the library van at any of these locations and pick up a lunchbox and summer reading activity packet.
Due to the multiple COVID-19 waivers, parents may pick up meals for all the children in their household. If any family should need meals for more than one day, call the library at least two library business days in advance of your pickup day and our staff will be happy to assist.
Requests may also be made at the location site for pickup the following week. Please share the word and help us provide for our community’s children this summer.
Due to COVID-19 phased reopening, library hours at Jamesport will be reduced to two hours on Thursdays, from 1-3 p.m. and three hours on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Books may be returned in the drop box outside the door. Staff will be available to prepare books for loan while a patron waits.
One-hour computer access is available during these hours, as well. Patrons are encouraged to call the Gallatin Main Branch to request their books in order to allow for timely fulfillment on orders.
