Summer school was cancelled for the 2020 school year during the May 14 meeting of the Gallatin Board of Education.
The resignations of Ida Kemper, fifth grade English language arts/social studies, and Zach Morrison, elementary physical education, were accepted at the end of the 2020 school year.
Flags coach was offered to Skyler Husong, drum line coach to Sebastian Vaughn.
Dr. Copple, Principal Burke, and Principal Collins presented their reports. Activity Director Gann presented his report along with the ISS/At Risk Report and the MSHSAA COVID-19 report.
The graduation list was approved.
Dr. Copple discussed the plans presented from Blue Cross/Blue Shield which are the exact same plans as in 2019-2020. The insurance rates from Mike Roberts of Creative Planning were accepted for July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021.
The 2020-2021 salary schedule was approved.
Dr. Copple discussed the current year’s budget and the preliminary budget information for 2020-2021.
The board entered into closed session to discuss personnel and student matters.
The next meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.
