• Michael Stoddard, 40, Bates City, was arrested and taken to Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail (DDCRJ) for possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. According to court documents, Stoddard was taken into custody at Landes gas station after the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a driver swerving all over the road, eastbound on Highway 6, entering Jamesport. Deputy Loreanna Parker located Stoddard in the parking lot of the gas station and took him into custody on a probation and parole no bond warrant. While MSHP Trooper Cline was retrieving Stoddard’s cell phone and wallet from the vehicle, he observed drug paraphernalia in plain view in Stoddard’s passenger side door. A more thorough search revealed syringes, a glass pipe and a bottle of Naloxone. A plastic baggie with white pills, oxycodone, was recovered from Stoddard’s person. Bond was denied.
