DWI arrest on Highway 13 south of Gallatin
David Aycock, 43, Lexington, was arrested May 3 and taken to Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail for a felony DWI. Aycock was arrested one-half mile south of M Highway on Highway 13 by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department. Daviess County Central had notified the sheriff’s office of a possibly intoxicated driver leaving Casey’s in Gallatin. During a traffic stop for speeding and driving on the wrong side of the road, Aycock was unable to walk on his own. He was transported to Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail. His criminal history revealed multiple criminal convictions dating from 1996 to 2018. He is currently on parole for forgery. Bond was denied.
