Tri-County R-7 School Board offered a teaching contract to Alison Lowrey, pending a background check, during their meeting held April 8.
The board approved the following sports cooperatives: junior high football with Gallatin (host school); junior high softball with North Daviess (Tri-County as host school); varsity fall baseball with North Daviess (Tri-County as host school); and varsity spring baseball with Gallatin (Tri-County as host school).
The board moved to table the swearing in and reorganization until the next meeting when all members are physically present.
The superintendent’s report was given.
Tri-County will not be required to hold an election in June, moved from April 7, as the number of candidates equaled the number of open board positions. Incumbents Brent Dustman, Jeremy Turner and Trent Brewer will be serving another three-year term on the board.
During the new business session, the board heard an update on the school plans and response to the COVID-19 Epidemic.
No action was taken after a discussion concerning the budget.
During the executive session, the board tabled the classified evaluations and extra duty contracts until the May meeting.
The next regular meeting will be at 6 p.m. on May 7 in the superintendent’s office.
