Loren Wayne Sutton, age 80, a resident of Hale, Missouri passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
Wayne was born the son of Homer and Eva (Kelly) Sutton on June 8, 1939 in Weatherby, Missouri. He was a 1957 graduate of Jamesport Tri-County High School. He served in the United Army for four years and the United States Air Force for 16 years, retiring in 1978. He was united in marriage to Arlene Acton on December 4, 1992 in Hale, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked for the Chillicothe Police Department and the Livingston County Sherriff’s Office from 1978 until 1984. He was a Communications Specialist for the Army Corps of Engineers from 1984 until 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene of the home; son, Troy Sutton of Austin, Texas; daughter, Kim Acton of Hale, Missouri; two grandchildren; one brother, William “Bill” Sutton and wife Dorothy of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Sutton and granddaughter, Annah Collier.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, April 23, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
