by Sherri Carder, Daviess County Health Department
WIC at the Daviess County Health Department will have some changes for a few months. The staff at the health department will work with WIC families to ensure that they receive their food packages. The goal is to keep pregnant moms and babies at home if possible.
Health department staff members will be calling and setting up times to get food prescriptions and giving instruction how they will be made available. The health department is asking for patience and cooperation as they work through the changes made necessary by the COVID-19 virus.
Local stores are trying their best to be able to fill the food prescriptions; please be patient with the grocery stores. They are struggling to meet demands and are diligently trying to accommodate everyone. If you need an appointment or have questions, please call us at 660.663.2414.
