Tenured teachers were retained and contracts for non-tenured teachers were renewed during the March meeting of the North Daviess R-3 School Board. The 2020-21 teacher salary schedule was adopted. R-3 will continue with Missouri Educators Unified Health Plan for health insurance, with the district paying $510 towards plans.

The board adopted the 2020-21 school calendar, a mowing bid was accepted from Bob Woolsley, and applications for summer maintenance help were accepted.
Principal Kelly Hightree reported attendance was at 92.89% for elementary, 93.66% for high school, and overall, 93.28% with a total of 62 students enrolled. FFA week was Feb. 17-21. FFA students attended the Farm Show on Feb 21. Homecoming week was Feb 24-28. Homecoming game was Feb 27. Coronation followed and Bryce Smith and Faith Rainey were crowned king and queen. The elementary basketball tournament was March 2-6. Gilman City boys and girls both placed first. Parent/teacher conferences were held March 12, with no school on the 13th. Fourth quarter has started and FFA events and contests have been cancelled. Family Fun night was cancelled.
Superintendent Daniel Street reported on facility updates, and the possibility of looking for another bus and other school vehicle.
Next meeting was set for April 13 at 6 p.m. in the conference room in Jameson. Board members present were Paul Caven, Natalie May, Jason Lewis, Jim Duly, Amy McMahon, and Patty Baker.
