Axel Edward Olson, 68, of Jameson, Missouri passed away on March 12, 2020 in Mesa, Arizona. Axel, or Ed, was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa and grew up in southern Webster county, graduating from Prairie Community School in Gowrie in 1970. After completing the tool and die maker course, at DMACC in Ankeny, Axel moved to the Kansas City area. This is where he lived, worked and raised his children.
On 01/01/2001, he married Sue Stevenson in Leawood, KS. They moved to rural Jameson in 2002. Axel enjoyed gardening, old cars and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Olson of Fort Dodge, Iowa. He is survived by his mother Betty Olson of Fort Dodge, Iowa; his wife Sue Olson; his daughter Reagan Olson of Belton; his son Axel Richard Olson (m. Jessica Olson) of Blue Springs; his daughter Kristyl Faust(m. Mike Faust) of Belton; and his daughter Sherri Norley (m.Darold Norley) of Ames, Iowa. He had one brother, Byron Paul Olson (m. Jody Olson) of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He also had eight grandsons (Anthony, Zachery, Logan, Keagan Axel, Cole, Isaiah, Tyler and Axel Evan), one granddaughter Aria and ten grand nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at the Olson home in Jameson at a time to be determined. No Memorial has been established – please support a local person in need in Axel’s name.
