Lydia T. (Detweiler) Gingerich, 83, Jamesport, passed away March 5, 2020, at her home near Jamesport. Lydia was born Oct. 14, 1936, in Dover, DE, to Tobe and Lena (Miller) Detweiler.

On Nov. 7, 1957, she was united in marriage to Joseph C. Gingerich. They lived in matrimony 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sons, Chester and Eli Ray; a stillborn daughter, Rebecca; one daughter-in-law, Polly; one grandson, Perry; and two sisters.

Survivors include her children: daughter, Lena Kramer, Sulphur Springs, TX; son, Freeman and wife, Ida, Jamesport; daughter-in-law, Wilma, Jamesport; daughter, Martha and husband, Noah Kramer, Jamesport; daughter-in-law, Betty, Jamesport; daughter, Lizzie Ann and husband, Merle Yoder, Jamesport; son, Danny Joe, Princeton; daughter, Naomi and husband, Paul Byler, Jamesport; son, John Henry and wife, Katie, Norwood; 59 grandchildren; 122 great-grandchildren; six brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services were held March 9 at the Eli Kauffman residence, Jamesport, with burial in the Meadow View Cemetery, Jamesport, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home.
