The Gallatin R-5 girls’ varsity softball team recently learned it has been awarded distinction as an academic all-state team. The GHS varsity team compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.90, which ranked fifth in the state.
Five Lady Bulldogs were awarded individual academic honors — Aubrey Burns, Madalyn Shubert, Caragan Baker, Carli Beck and Maddi Michael. Academic all-state awardees must be a sophomore, junior or senior varsity player, rank in the top 25% of their class, along with other requirements.
