Over 140 community leaders from throughout Northwest Missouri participated in the 9th annual meeting of the Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri, Inc., on Feb. 21.
This year’s theme was “Grow Your Own,” featuring guest speaker Dell Gines, Senior Community Development Advisor, Omaha Branch-Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. The meeting was held at the Mozingo Lake Conference Center, Maryville.
Mr. Gines is a nationally recognized speaker and shared his experiences with entrepreneur based economic development in rural settings and grassroots economic development projects. He gave tips about strategies he has seen work and why those are uniquely suited for small towns.
The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) public charity with a mission of encouraging regional collaboration to increase the power of charitable giving and philanthropy to transform our region into an economically vibrant area.
