The North Daviess Board approved extending Kelly Hightree’s principal contract for the next year during their meeting held Feb. 17.
The resignation of Ute Cook as a cook was accepted at the end of the school year.
The board approved the senior trip itinerary.
Details regarding busses driving on hard surfaces only would be worked out by the bus drivers.
No election for school board members will be needed in April.
Approval of the 2020-2021 calendar was tabled until the March meeting.
Mowing bids were solicited.
Policy and regulations 1210 and 4871 were approved.
Principal Kelly Hightree reported attendance at 92.66% for elementary, 94.81% for high school and overall 93.74% with a total of 61 students enrolled.
FBLA districts were held Feb. 6, in Maryville. Christian Malott was a state qualifier.
Junior high music students attended a contest in Maryville on Feb. 15 and had two second places.
The following events were held: FFA week; Farm Show; Homecoming week; elementary basketball game against Spickard with coronation following.
North Daviess elementary school basketball tournament is March 2-6, with a Scholastic Book Fair. Pattonsburg Tournament is March 9-12. Parent/Teacher conferences are from 1 to 6:30 p.m. on March 12.
No school will be held on Friday, March 13.
Superintendent Daniel Street reported on facility updates, federal program updates, and legislative updates.
The next board meeting was set for 6 p.m. on Monday, March 16.
