Dear Editor:
Last April I asked community members to support me in my decision to run for the Gallatin R-5 School Board. After attending 11 months of board meetings, as a community member, and serving nine months as a member, I have resigned by position. I am sorry that I was not able to fulfill my commitment to the community. I am including a copy of my resignation.

After thoughtful prayer it is with great reluctance that I resign my position on the Gallatin School Board effective immediately. My goal was to be part of a team to help make the school better. Evidently, my educational experience is considered a detriment instead of an asset. It has become clear during the past nine months that my goals and vision for the district are much different than that of the board and administration. A board member needs to be able to support the direction of the board and have confidence in the leadership of the administration.
Gallatin has wonderful parents, great students, and outstanding teachers. I wish them only the best in the future.
Go Bulldogs.
