Randy Adair, 58, Gallatin, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche northbound on Hwy. 13 on Feb. 2. About two miles south of Gallatin, he drove off the east side of the roadway, overcorrected, and traveled off the west side of the roadway. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its wheels, facing northbound. He received moderate injuries and was taken by Daviess County EMS to Cameron Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing his seat belt.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. J.M. Cross, assisted by Cpl. M.J. Miller, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and Gallatin Police Department.
Adair was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Feb. 2 and charged with driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and no insurance. The above charges are mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
