Gallatin FCCLA members competed in the Region 2 STAR Events competition in Chillicothe on Jan. 28, with 58 of the 62 students participating now advancing to state competition.
STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) is competitive events in which FCCLA members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and occupational preparation. Brinley Vandiver and McKinley Waters served as student judges.
Gallatin’s 58 qualifiers advance to the State STAR Events Competition to be held March 15-17, at Osage Beach. Local Region 2 qualifiers are as follows:
