Memorial service for Shirley Robison will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 25, 2020 at the Hamilton United Methodist Church sanctuary. Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Inurnment will be at a later date at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hamilton Public Library.
Shirley L. Donnelson Robison, 91, Hamilton, died on Jan. 16, 2020 at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Hamilton.
Shirley previously lived in Kansas City, retired to Kidder in 1985, and then later moved to Hamilton in 1994.
Shirley was born on May 27, 1928 in Ogdensburg, NY, to Major General Henry R. Paige, Retired U.S. Marine Corp. and Gladys “Mary Louise” Brundage.
She attended college and was an elementary teacher at the St. Gabriel’s parochial school in Kansas City. Later she worked and very much enjoyed her job as a library aide for 15 years for the Oak Park High School, North Kansas City.
She was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church, bridge club, the Pollyanna Quest Club, and the Hamilton Library Board.
She was active in Sunday school at her church.
In 1948 she married Milford (Don) Donnelson and he preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded by her parents and a sister and brother.
She married Gerald Robison in 1995 and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include, daughters, Judy Donnelson, Kansas City, Debby (Bill) Ford, Hamilton, and Kathryn L. (David) Schmalz, Kansas City; sister, Mary Ellen Marquand, Carlsbad, CA; step-son, Gregg (Julie) Robison, Odessa; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
