North Central Missouri College, in partnership with the Missouri Scholarship and Loan Foundation (MSLF), is offering individuals the chance to participate in the Finish Line Degree Completion Grant. The Finish Line Grant is designed to assist Missouri residents who have left college before completing a degree and are prevented from re-enrolling due to a past financial balance. Up to $3,000 of back debt could be paid to those eligible and interested in finishing their degree at a Missouri public institution such as North Central Missouri College.
“Our mission has always been to make college affordable and accessible,” said Dr. Kristen Alley, Vice President of Student Affairs. “This pilot program will assist those students who are close to completion but were delayed, due to a lack of financial resources at the time they attended college or those who may have encountered an unexpected emergency. We are dedicated to assisting those students in getting back on track, completing their degree, and entering the workforce with the additional credentials needed for a rewarding career. Students will also have the opportunity to further their education and seek a bachelor’s degree, if that is their goal. Ultimately, our goal is to remove barriers for these students and set them up for immediate and long-term success.”
