A Winston woman received minor injuries in an accident that happened at about 2:35 p.m. on Dec. 28 in DeKalb County.
According to the highway patrol, the crash occurred as Donna Crossland, 58, Winston, was westbound on Highway 36. Sara Molloy, 42, Bucklin was southbound on Highway 33.
Molloy failed to yield at a stop sign and traveled into the path of Crossland. The front of Crossland’s 2007 Pontiac G6 struck the front of Molloy’s 2013 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Both vehicles went off the north side of Highway 36 and came to rest facing north. Crossland was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by DeKalb County Ambulance. She was not wearing her seat belt. Molloy was not injured. She was wearing her seat belt.
Both vehicles had extensive damage. The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.P. Lynch, assisted by Tpr. J.M. Cross and Tpr. B.R. Muck.
