A hunter’s breakfast featuring a hot and hearty breakfast buffet is scheduled from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. for Nov. 16 at the North Daviess school cafeteria in Jameson. Everyone is invited; you don’t need to be a hunter.

The Children’s Christmas Store will be held Dec. 3-4 at the school for kindergarten through sixth grade this year, in an effort by the Village of Jameson to get better participation. All items will be priced at $1 or less.

In other business at the Oct. 17 meeting of the Jameson Board of Trustees, a new breaker box was installed at the south end of the city park, and the bill of $606.38 was paid for by the Jameson Lions Club.

Financial reports were approved as presented as of Sept. 30, with a balance in General Fund checking of $6,210.17, and the balance in the roads account of $4,658.44. The sewer financial report has a balance of $7,629.51. The service has been completed on the small claims court filing, and court date was Oct. 31.

Bob Woolsey reported the disconnect was installed on Oct. 9, and a delinquent account was paid up to avoid disconnect.

A text message from Steve McDowell, lagoon operator, stated the lagoon was discharging in September and currently. He will be collecting samples next week for the fourth quarter permit requirements. Water is testing very well.

A suggestion was made to open the general maintenance job for snow removal, road maintenance, etc. A flyer will be made.

No further complaints had been received by the complaints panel.

A neglected property has hired someone to mow.

Trunk or Treat Halloween was held at the North Daviess school.

Some discussion was held regarding providing information to the Jameson Gem.

The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Nov. 21.
